Azita Ghanizada. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has participated in numerous TV series. Her birthplace was in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled their home country to the US and was granted the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. Ghanizada is the middle child from two siblings, and born to a young age in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her TV career by being featured in National Commercials. In the Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada played the lead role of Chiara the performance of which she was awarded an award for best actress at a film festival nomination. Television guest-starring roles are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NuMB3RS bones Psych as well as Castle. Recently, Ghanizada played in a variety of independent comedies You Only Better and Blood Shot 2009 and the science-fiction action film Blood Shot. Ghanizada was first noticed in 2008 when she joined the team for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. In the second season of Nightshift, she was holistic specialist the Dr. Saira Bastra.
